D-Day Lancaster Bomber

Every year on this day I pay tribute to those that took part on the beaches of Normandy in the battle of the repatriation of Europe from the Nazis. Of the nearly 150,000 Allied troops who landed or parachuted onto the Normandy coast, 14,000 were Canadians.

  1. Thanks for this post commemorating this historic day. I believe this is a Lancaster Bomber used in WWII, quite a rare aircraft these days.

  5. We have grown up knowing we won! Think about those who lived through it who did NOT know. They could only hope. Well done, everyone. We are grateful.
