Trillium

Starting in late April and peaking around the third and fourth weeks of May, the reign of the familiar three petal Trillium is a experience to behold.

  3. Such beauties. Once someone gave me a trillium (the red kind) and I planted it in a bed with various other indigenous species. It died back in the winter, but never came back up. They are not known for being transplantable. But go out to the woods and find a patch like that, it's amazing!
