Yes... I do visit old cemeteries. The Elizabeth Street Pioneer Cemetery, also known as the Old Methodist Cemetery. Many of the headstones are gone or are illegible. One of the earliest inscriptions is for Sarah Sparks, who died on February 28, 1842.

...I've found an old cemetery that had flat stones.
ReplyDeleteCemeteries tell often tell sad tales of life and death. Old tombstones used to have more information on them than modern ones.
