Thank goodness it's a lens protector. They are cheap to replace.

ReplyDeleteSomehow I've never done that, but I keep a UV filter on as a lens protector on anyway - one day it'll pay for itself.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the main functions of a UV lens filter. Photographer Danny Lyons once put a cigarette out on his camera lens to demonstrate the value of a lens filter. BTW Andy, you should see the movie where Marlon Brando played Emiliano Zapata, in Viva Zapata!. It's a good film and shows something of the Mexican Revolution.
