Saving Time

Andy | Sunday, March 12, 2023 | Best Blogger Tips

Today it is time to "spring forward". The majority of Canadians will adjust their clocks forward an hour on March 12, 2023, marking the beginning of eight months of extended daylight into the evening. In 2020, the province passed legislation that would put an end to it, which would make daylight saving time permanent. However, the change can only come around if Quebec and New York do the same. Since 2020, nothing more has happened with the bill, even though it has received royal assent.

  1. The same strategy is going on here and it seems to be stalled here too. Arizona doesn't participate at all so we never have to mess with our clocks. We just have to remember the changes all around us.

  6. Great photo of this clock tower, but the clock can't possibly be right given the lack of daylight. We tried to make daylight savings permanent back 1977 only to discover it did not get light until mid-morning and kids had to go to school in the dark putting then in danger. I like daylight savings despite having to set all my clocks twice a year.

  7. I hate daylight savings time, but if we must have it, I wish we could go back to the old dates.

  9. Same back and forward over here. The EU wanted to make it permanent, but they keep stalling it.
