Today it is time to "spring forward". The majority of Canadians will adjust their clocks forward an hour on March 12, 2023, marking the beginning of eight months of extended daylight into the evening. In 2020, the province passed legislation that would put an end to it, which would make daylight saving time permanent. However, the change can only come around if Quebec and New York do the same. Since 2020, nothing more has happened with the bill, even though it has received royal assent.

The same strategy is going on here and it seems to be stalled here too. Arizona doesn't participate at all so we never have to mess with our clocks. We just have to remember the changes all around us.
ReplyDeleteThis is not my favourite morning of the year, Andy.
ReplyDeleteThat's too early for me Andy. A quarter past six in the morning .
ReplyDeleteWe have two more weeks until we spring forward.
ReplyDeleteI think as we are going into Autumn here daylight savings will be ending.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of this clock tower, but the clock can't possibly be right given the lack of daylight. We tried to make daylight savings permanent back 1977 only to discover it did not get light until mid-morning and kids had to go to school in the dark putting then in danger. I like daylight savings despite having to set all my clocks twice a year.
ReplyDeleteIt gives us something to talk about!
ReplyDeleteI hate daylight savings time, but if we must have it, I wish we could go back to the old dates.
ReplyDeleteWe also have that time changing winter and summertime, very confusing....
ReplyDeleteSame back and forward over here. The EU wanted to make it permanent, but they keep stalling it.
ReplyDeleteI'd much rather keep standard time and get rid of DST.
