It was my lucky day when I photographed 426 flying over. This particular helicopter spent more than 20 years flying out of Canadian Forces Base, Shearwater Nova Scotia. Presently it is on display in the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa.

Great shot, Andy. I wouldn't be sitting in the doorway like that.
ReplyDeleteThis helicopter must still be air worthy, but I can see why it might be retired after 20 years of service. It still looks fine.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot. It's not easy to capture when in motion. That guy in the door makes me catch my breath.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, Andy. Sitting in the open door like that is crazy and not something I would do.
ReplyDeleteThat was definitely good timing.
ReplyDeletebrrrr, sitting like that...
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I love hearing the sound of helicopters and seeing them go by.
