Fenelon Falls
This gent just looked up as I snapped the photo. I thought he was quite brave standing on the wall that has a considerable drop to the fast running waters below. The falls are located in the middle of The Town of Fenelon Falls, Ontario. It has a height 5 metres and a crest of 30 meters. The river is part of the Trent-Severn Waterway. There is a dam on the other side of the bridge. At certain time of the day the water is diverted for electric power generation. When that happens about half of the falls will be dry. I'm Linking to Weekly Top Shot.

Rain Hawk
Yesterday evening heavy rain and strong winds past through my area. The most interesting thing I spotted during the storm was this hawk sitting on the fence in my backyard. Take a close look at her claws and you will see what is left of a squirrel that was her catch of the day.

After demolishing the meal it's rest time. She is not one bit concerned of about the weather around her.

Mailbox - Avro Arrow
The owner of Model "A" Acres Bed & Breakfast has a passion for old cars and old airplanes. The model of the Avro Arrow seen on the mailbox is an icon from Canada's past. In the 1950's the plane was a hyper sonic fighter being developed with funds from the Canadian Government. It could reach a speed nearly three times the speed of sound and travel at an altitude of 60,000 feet. After the first successful flight the plane was scrapped by the federal government in a decision that remains controversial to this day. You can find out more about the Avro Arrow here. You can view my previous post of Model "A" Acres here.

CN Tower
The structure reflecting on the left side is the CN Tower. Located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada it is the tallest structure in the city. It stands at 553 metres or 1,814 feet. With Prince William and Princess Kate expecting a royal baby any day, there a unique plan for the tower when the baby is born. If it's a girl, the tower will be lit up in pink. If it is a boy, it will be lit up in blue. It should be quite the sight to see.

Grist Mill Ruins
Mill Race Park is located in Cambridge, Ontario. It features an excavated "raceway" or canal which once powered the Dickson Textile Mill. The Park is the only park within the city that is reserved for wedding purposes. All other parks are available on a first come, first served basis. Ceremonies are allotted a 90 minute time frame, and photographs are allotted a 45 minute time frame.

Signs, Signs - Cake
At first it was the colours that attracted me to photograph this sign. Later on it dawned on me that it was really the challenge that Lesley presents on her weekly meme. I'm linking to Lesley's Signs, Signs.

Independence Day July 4th ★★★
It's party time. Today is America's birthday. If you travel for about twenty miles in the direction that I am pointing you will come to the border between Canada and The United States Of America. Located in the middle of Lake Ontario you will not notice you have reached it. There are no markers or checkpoints. You need to travel another eighteen miles or so before landfall. On this day, July 4, in 1776, Americans declared their independence from Britain.
