This gent just looked up as I snapped the photo. I thought he was quite brave standing on the wall that has a considerable drop to the fast running waters below. The falls are located in the middle of The Town of Fenelon Falls, Ontario. It has a height 5 metres and a crest of 30 meters. The river is part of the Trent-Severn Waterway. There is a dam on the other side of the bridge. At certain time of the day the water is diverted for electric power generation. When that happens about half of the falls will be dry. I'm Linking to Weekly Top Shot.

Nice portrait Andy. Are you going to email this to the person in the photo?
ReplyDeleteLucky you didn't frighten him, he could have fallen backwards.
ReplyDeleteI did ask him for permission to include him in the photo. That's when he move into this pose. Otherwise he seemed to be in complete control of what he was doing.
DeleteI'm surprised they don't generate electricity all the time, maybe they only use it for peak times. Neat photo!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, he's a brave one. There is no way I'd do that. I'd stay safely behind that wall and watch the water from there.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great shot! Looks a bit surprised. You're probably lucky you weren't responsible for him falling into the water! Fishermen can be a little crazy sometime with regard to where they decide to cast a line!
ReplyDeleteThey say as you get older you do not have the fear when your younger. So be told.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if that is good as others see it and they have there heart go pump a pump.
I will take your word Andy you see he was in control.
I love this shot, there is so much movement in the photo. I'm glad that this gentleman had steady feet!
ReplyDeleteAw...he's an adorable older gent!
ReplyDeleteA familiar spot and a fine shot.
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic timing! This is a very cool portrait!
