The day before I was at this location. There was a young lady sitting there and I thought it would make a great shot. I had my wide angle lens on my camera and realized that it would not give me the effect that I wanted. Before I could switch lenses she moved on. I went back the next day hoping she would return. Instead this young man was there and what you see is what I got.

Indeed a lovely rhythm of columns. I see why you wanted to use a tele.
ReplyDeleteThe composition is very nice, glad you returned.
ReplyDeleteGood one, Andy.
ReplyDeleteProof that it pays to return to the same spot sometimes!
ReplyDeleteNice. What lens did you use? telephoto?
ReplyDeleteCanon EFS 18-200mm. Focal length 200mm f/8 Shutter speed 1/30 s
DeleteYou got a super photo.
ReplyDeleteOf course, it would have been nicer if you had got a woman to the image .. hih
You had just the right lens to give you great perspective and a strong photo. Good that you went back and tried to capture what you had in mind. Who says that photography doesn't take work?
ReplyDeleteYou lucked out, it's a cool shot!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt works really well, Andy!
ReplyDeleteA moment of contemplation....
ReplyDeleteI thought I left a comment, maybe not. It's a very cool image, I wonder what people see from that spot?!
ReplyDeleteThis was SO worth your return! What a great and evocative shot. I love it.
ReplyDeleteHe seems lost in thought.
ReplyDeleteA right on photo Andy. Clarity is magnificent.
