In this photo there is only one cormorant along with two seagulls. There are certain times of the day the rock will be cover with a few hundred cormorants. I had to wait for low tide to get this close. So I could not chose the time of day to get there. Just in case you are wondering, that white stuff on top is bird poop.

Great rock. Thats something you don't find on the dutch shore. Thanks for showing Andy.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo, a nice place for the birds to have a rest and a look around.
ReplyDeleteSo, even if there are no trees they will perch on a rock?!
ReplyDeleteBirds prefer to be in a place where they are safe from predators.
DeleteThis is a great shot! Must be a happening spot for the birds, as evidenced by the white top of the rock!
ReplyDeleteThat is a neat rock! You'd think rain would wash some of that poop away, but it is hardy stuff, if the poop on my car windshield is any measure...man that stuff is hard to wash off.
ReplyDeleteBirds have a way of decorating their rocks but what a great shot!
ReplyDeleteWhile the condo wasn't pretty (the building, not your photo), this is over the top!
ReplyDeleteYou got the grandeur of this rock...
ReplyDeleteWow, gorgeous photo! I love it.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that The Black Pearl about to sail into view? This looks like the perfect location to bury some pirate treasure.
ReplyDeletePEI is such a beautiful place, Andy! Love this shot!
ReplyDeleteVery impressive rock formation! I'd like to see it with a few hundred birds on it!
ReplyDeleteLovely shot Andy, I really like the shape loaf the rock...
ReplyDeleteNot a bad place to hang out!
ReplyDeleteSuperb shot!
ReplyDeleteThe birds must have a fantastic time!
Yep, looks like a popular place for the birds.
ReplyDeleteAptly named by the evidence of their presence past and present. The stone tower is magnificent, Andy!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLovely image.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great part of the country!
ReplyDeleteThis is picture perfect Andy. A spectacular size colorful rock and the seagulls perched upon it. The water splashing is awesome.
