Sunset over Frenchman's Bay. The boats are still cover with their winter protective plastic covering. Yes... there are people that live on them all year long. |

Beautiful backlight. I like masts raised towards this sky between shadow and light
ReplyDeleteVery pretty light and shadow.
ReplyDeleteA beauty with that backlight.
ReplyDeleteYou can keep boats on the water all the year, only covering with plastic?.. There is no ice on the sea in winter?. This photo is dramatic and beautiful
ReplyDeleteThis is fresh water. The marina uses bubble ups in the water to prevent freezing. The plastic helps to keep the heat in. Not my kind of lifestyle but people do live on the boats all year.
Delete...wonderful eye candy.
ReplyDeleteJust another superb photograph. Of course, I love marinas and boats and sunsets, so... But it really is hard to believe that people live on those boats year-round. They must be well-insulated and well-heated. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteI can feel the quiet in this picture. It compels me to whisper.
ReplyDeleteThat makes a very pretty scene!
ReplyDeleteAmazing sky, Andy!
ReplyDeleteVery well captured, Andy...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sky, and those boats look like they're in cocoons. I don't think I could live aboard, even in a more temperate climate. In your region? Never.
ReplyDeleteGreat pic, Andy, but I can't imagine living there all winter. I was freezing today after walking around along College & Spadina today and it wasn't really that cold. It was the wind!
ReplyDeleteI like the sparkling look on the water.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Bonito amanecer
ReplyDeleteOk place to live I expect on a boat - it's a wonder that plastic doesn't go crisp and tear in winter.
ReplyDeleteNice photo.
Light enough to walk.
ReplyDeleteFrames generaose in detail.
That's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAnother good one. You do nice night photography.
