If you or someone with you should experience faintness, nausea, vomiting, confusion, trouble breathing, a change in skin colour or any other type of emergency reaction after interacting with a plant or receiving a bug bite, call 911 IMMEDIATELY.

  6. Always good to not touch or molest any of the plants. The poisonous ones know how to defend themselves. Good information on that sign.

  8. I've never seen a warning sign like that. I suppose in the U.S. it's everyone for themselves? Then again I learned pretty young not to go eating anything I didn't truly know was safe.

  9. Exactly! And it's always good to be warned! I have had terrible bouts with poison ivy in the past where I almost had to be hospitalized. :(

  10. Foxtail, digitalis, is very common around here in the summer- Sometimes signs are put up along the wetlands path to remind folks they are poisonous.

  11. Never seen a sign like that here. The hogweed is a total other thing, a real plague and hard to get rid of.
