Great photo. You've reminded me that for the first year since I've lived here, the geese did not nest in the parking lot. They certainly scoped things out back in April but there are no geese and no goslings here this year.
Canada geese can be tough defenders, but they also adapt quickly to being fed by people, so they know who they can safely approach. Fine family grouping in your photos, Andy.
They make very good parents.

ReplyDeleteSometimes it's easy to tell the male from the female--- she's often the larger of the two. But most of the time, the only way I can tell is behavior.
