I photographed this house on November 16, 2014. I thought it would be demolished in a matter of days.

I returned on October 05, 2021 and was surprised to see that it is still there.

ReplyDeleteThe deterioration in the ensuing years is obvious, but someone cares enough to board up the front door and windows. You photo is a clear case of broken dreams.

ReplyDeleteA little worse for wear, but still standing tall. I always wonder about abandoned houses, and why the owners don't sell them.

ReplyDeleteAbandoned houses are amongst the saddest things we see. There's one a few miles from here that never completed. Not lived in. Not finished. But about three quarters done-- And it has sat like that for at least 15 years.

ReplyDeleteNeat to see the toll the last few years has taken. I find abandoned places so fascinating and beautiful.
