One wonders what these critters make of us.
ReplyDeleteGood one, Andy!
ReplyDelete...up close and personal.
ReplyDeleteWhat a truly fantastic photo! Just look at all the patterns and colors on this creature.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot, Andy! Nice and close.
ReplyDeleteA fine macro shot, Andy, but these guys can decimate crops, and under the right conditions turn into swarms of locusts.
ReplyDeletewoah, looks like a big boy
ReplyDeleteI remember riding my motorcycle the the foothills north of San Diego in 1978 when I ran into a huge swarm of these guys--- They were all over, and the worst of it was running over hundreds of them while they swarmed around my helmet. Never encountered anything like that before or since.
ReplyDeleteWow, good macro Andy. Some say that they are the solution for coming food shortages.
ReplyDeleteThat is very close and he didn't move?
ReplyDeleteVery nice, well done.
ReplyDeleteMacro photography is always fun.
