...a fabulous look back!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work!
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty amazing. It looks so realistic like you walk right into it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great memorial to a bygone era. I love the juxtaposition of the woman in short sleeves with the pile of snow below!
ReplyDeleteNice one, Andy!
ReplyDeleteWonderful nostalgic mural harking back to the 1940s, a stressful decade of WW II and technological advances. It was also a decade of great solidarity and social cohesion. BTW, my bear sign in today's post was found in a cafe on the way to hunt bears in northern Wisconsin, but don't worry. All the bears were safe. The hunt is all about the chase, and never the kill. Bears should remain in the forest.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful mural, Andy. It blends right in and looks real.
ReplyDeletenice one.
ReplyDeleteVery realistic
ReplyDeleteAndy, that is a beautiful mural. And enough snow for me. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful--- I love it. When we first moved to our area nearly 35 years ago, we saw a freshly painted mural on the side of a building which depicted a "lady of the evening" and a car full of cops looking at her--- The era depicted was the 1910's. The mural has held up pretty well and is still there--- decorating side of a building that was originally built to be a brothel. Loggers would come down from the hills on the weekend on the log trains which ran along side. This particular establish was open for business until the mid 1950's. I love the one your picture shows--- Great work.
ReplyDeleteGreat mural.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture on the building. I see more and more of that art happening. Nice!
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks amazing.
