The town of Ajax has one of the largest off leash dog parks I have ever seen. Located in an old quarry it is now part of the Greenwood Conservation area. The quarry has been reclaimed and is slowly coming back to a more natural state. I'm linking to Lesley's Signs, Signs.
"Bibi" is happy to see this.
ReplyDeleteFunny sign.Nice it also contains the message for people who cannot read. Funny one Andy.
ReplyDeletelot's of happy dogs i imagine!
ReplyDeleteI'm all for leash-free zones or at least times when dogs can roam free. It's a great way to exercise and socialize your dog.
ReplyDeleteTheir dog drawing is a little odd though? Almost looks like he's standing on his head, with his legs in the air?
They do love to run free!
ReplyDeletedog heaven in ajax.
ReplyDeleteSIGNS
I believe in off-leash parks and leashes everywhere else!
ReplyDeleteOh those lucky, LUCKY dogs! :)
ReplyDeleteI am in favor! Leash free on designated areas!
ReplyDeletethat puppy looks a little confused. or is it just me?
ReplyDeleteI am not a dog person, but I enjoy watching the dogs playing and chasing each other in a leash free area. There should be more of them, not less.
I can see what kitty means. It is one of those illusions one can see if you look long enough. I have found a sign similar to this one to add to my collection.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that the quarry is returning to its natural state (in spite of all the dogs running free?!)
ReplyDeleteGreat sign, Andy!
ReplyDeleteThere's an off-leash area in our little town, and one in the next-door city, but I don't know where they are. I don't think Lindy is ready to be off-leash outside her own yard anyway because she only responds to "Come" if she feels like it.
Fortunately, we have a huge fenced-in back yard where she is always off-leash, but chooses to lie under a tree instead of frolicking like a puppy. Go figure.
K
Happy times for the dogs!
ReplyDeleteit's wonderful that the area is coming back and that the dogs have a fun place
ReplyDeleteWhat a rare sign! Makes both dog owners AND dogs happy, I'm sure!
