Disintegrating

Once a year I am able to walk out onto the ice and take a photo of these old relics. The pillars in the photo are the remains of the original town dock for the village of Dunbarton installed in 1843 by the Pickering Road And Stock Company.

    1. I think the company was named after the Township.

  5. Great shot, Andy! It's warmish out now for a couple of hours at least - back to the deep freeze tonight!

  7. Great photo of these historic relics. Amazing that anything remains from 1843. My wooden roof is only about 15 years old and doesn't look this good.

  8. Nice shot, especially with those sunny skies. But clear skies keeps it cold, doesn't it?
We have remnants of old docks around here but there's no walking on water in our warmer climate. No complaints on that score!

  9. It's very cool that these are still in place so many years later. Great shadows, too.
