Winter Storm Warning

Andy | Monday, February 02, 2015 | Best Blogger Tips

Snow storm blowing through here today. Heavy snow and blowing snow continues across Southern Ontario. For areas south of a line from Sarnia towards Hamilton, total snowfall amounts of 25 to 35 cm are likely, with the highest amounts near the Great Lakes. North of this line from Huron - Perth through Waterloo - Wellington and the Greater Toronto Area, total amounts will likely be in the 15 to 20 cm range. In addition to the heavy snow, winds have strengthened reducing visibility to 05 km or less in blowing snow. Wind chill values near -20°C to -25°C are likely for all regions in the winter storm warning. The worst conditions are generally expected early this morning. The morning commute is expected to be significantly affected by this winter storm.

  6. Thankfully, we didn't get much from this, a bit of snow that turned to rain, creating a slushy (heavy) mess. Stay warm and safe.

  7. I hope it turns out to be less than that. We're only expecting 2-4cm up here.

  9. The sun just came out and we just finished shoveling! I think we got more than 20 cm in the city but it is hard to tell with the drifts, Andy.

  15. Well it was nice for a change to get less, even though we're further north - only an inch or two here.
