Pine Grove Pioneer Church

Andy | Thursday, February 12, 2015 | Best Blogger Tips

Built in 1878 it became an appointment on the Uxbridge circuit. It was known as the "Wilderness Appointment". It is still open for at least two services a year and has retained the original board and batten exterior, pews, organ and the ambiance of yesterday. The church was used in several episodes of the Canadian TV series Road to Avonlea.

  1. What a nice photo, a church so remote in the woods.

  4. What a lovely little church, Andy!
I don't think I will be out and about too much this weekend - it is already sooo cold out there!

  5. Sweet.. and fine perspective with that bow on the post in the foreground.

  6. It feels familiar, though I didn't watch the series. I must have seen it at some point while passing through the area. It stands out beautifully in the snow.
