Oh, I can sympathise! We get lots of midges here in the West of Scotland!
ReplyDeleteLiz
But it seems inviting.
ReplyDeleteWow, makes me want to be there...even with the biting flies.
ReplyDeleteLooks nice! They should spray for flies and put a fire pit in the middle! :)
ReplyDeletethose little flies drive me crazy, I'd have to sit inside too.
ReplyDeleteYou get black flies where you live Andy really. I would of not imagined. I wear a clip on head to toe protection. It is called Off .12 hour protection. . You can buy in Canadian tire.
ReplyDeleteNon Toxin. I wear a belt and just slip it on. I suffered with going to emerg for 5 years being in the country I live with swollen eyes and bites all over.. My daughter in-law bought me one to try. The refill is in it when you buy it.
Was a Gods sin for hubby and I. Now the bugs swarm around me for a second and go ahead of me and fly away. You have to see them to believe it.. My hubby bought one too. So one does not have to suffer. Good for Mosquitoes. Which are two bugs I am allergic to .
Perhaps when someone reads your blog. They can see what I put and can help people. Not nice you have to suffer. You don't.
On and off button. They are as big as ones computer mouse. Grey top . You just slide in refill inside. Has instructions. Take a look at Canadian tire Andy see what they look like. Just for curiosity as you don't have them to bother you?
Not black flies but midges, or gnats. They are tiny flies that accompany the arrival of warm temperatures every spring. They are less than 1 millimetre long and nearly invisible when alone or from afar. But when they get together by the millions to create a mating swarm -- watch out! The insects feed on plants and hatch in water, before the sunlight draws them out. This is why you'll typically encounter larger clouds of the tiny pests closer to lakes and other bodies of water.
DeleteAhhhh, I didn't think the cool weather would deter you guys, but I completely understand avoiding those nasty, evil, little flies.
ReplyDeleteBet that place is packed in the summer. Great shot Andy.
ReplyDeleteUmmm, that looks like my kind of place. Too bad you couldn't sit outside.
ReplyDeletePesty Midges would make it miserable.
How true about the black flies!
ReplyDeleteTell 'em to get their own drinks! Like the picture!
ReplyDeleteThose nasty midges!
ReplyDeleteToo bad! It looks so inviting! I'm ready to sit down and ask for a menu.
ReplyDeleteFine quality of this night shot. Those midges would drive me inside in an instant. They are not only annoying, but their bites are painful. Lovely looking place. Hope the midges go away soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, blackflies are a menace! Lovely place, though!
ReplyDeleteLooks anyway an attractive place.
ReplyDeleteSoon it is full of people who are enjoying the warmer evening (and flies)
It is to cold to sit outside indeed. During the day we have rarher warm weather in the sun, but at six o'clock it becomes chilly in the evening.
ReplyDeleteA really lovely shot Andy, great atmosphere...
ReplyDeleteThey're annoying pesky things. Some folks call them May Flies; they are plentiful here in the County too... including mosquitoes.
ReplyDeleteThe locale does look inviting... nice capture, Andy.
