Wonderful angle and composition. The old gentleman obviously has some ties to this building, which at one time must have been an important residence for him.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful image and the house has a lot of potential. It just needs someone to love it!!
ReplyDeletePutting it here on your blog gives the house worldwide attention now :)
ReplyDeleteA holliday home maybe for rent? Mysterious.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cladding. Thats something you don't or seldom see here in the netherlands.
ReplyDeleteSomeone who is handy to repair, could get a nice cottage.
ReplyDeleteVery cool picture!
ReplyDeleteVery, very nice. I like this shot a lot.
ReplyDeleteNice shot! I like how you've framed it.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of sad to see a house sitting empty like this but, it does make wonderful photos as your photo attests.
ReplyDeleteWhen can I move in?
ReplyDeleteExcellent picture!
ReplyDeleteOne wonders how long it'll still stay standing.
ReplyDeleteGreat point of view. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great shot, Andy! As Lowell would say - "Frame it"!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a neat little house. Maybe not too far gone to renovate? You better watch for snakes in that tall grass! :)
ReplyDeleteThis house could be the setting for a horror movie. Looks like it is at the sea shore?
ReplyDeleteIt does look so lonely and abandoned, which is such a pity. Great photo though, love the angle.
ReplyDeleteVery cool shot! I love the tall grass, weathered shingles - and the angle is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteNeat house, those cedar shingles will hold up for a long while. It makes you wonder about the history of the house.
ReplyDeleteLove this shot! It looks windswept and bleached. Good angle, too.
ReplyDeleteA great photo, but the story makes me a little sad.
ReplyDeleteA house with a view! Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Love the old stuff!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of some of Andrew Wyeth's paintings...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place. I hope someone maintains it, what a loss to the landscape if it should disappear.
ReplyDeleteI thought I would see Christina lying in the grass, reaching toward the house.
ReplyDeleteWell worth the wade Andy, nice shot of an interesting old house...
