Constructed on this site since 1812, Notre Dame du Mont Carmel is significant as the spiritual home of many Acadian families in the Mont Carmel area of Prince Edward Island.

For reasons unknown to me the photo of the outside of the church will not open, but the inside shows a lot of detail and craftsmen's work.
ReplyDeleteSorry S.C. my mistake. It should be okay now.
DeleteI like that inside photo very much, that ceiling is beautiful. BTW, I can see the outside as well now.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. I can see it now. Thanks Andy.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much to admire about these photos and this church: The stones and arch focus the church beautifully on the outside and the inside really is quite magnificient. I can readily understand why it is considered to be historic.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place!
ReplyDeleteThe church's interior is awe-inspiring, for sure!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! So glad you showed the inside too.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beauty, Andy!
ReplyDeleteI was there last summer and it is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteVery fine capture of the inside!
ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty, Andy!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful photographs of a lovely place. I have friends whose families come from PEI. They would love to see this in person.
ReplyDeleteWonderful looking building Andy, and the interior if great, you can feel the silence and coolness just from the picture..
ReplyDeleteLovely architecture!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! It manages to be both grand and comfortable. So many cathedrals pour on so much grandeur it feels like you've walked into a wedding cake.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful, I like the perspective in the first photo.
