The snow falls here have been so few and so light that winter maintenance was not needed. Thank you Mother Nature. I'm linking to Lesley's Signs, Signs. UPDATE: A funny thing happened here overnight. It snowed.
When we have winter and all paths are under the snow, there is the same sign; not maintained in winter. It means here that nobody (city) clean the paths from the snow.
We just got six inches of light, cold snow. At least the snowblower removed it easily. Should melt by the weekend. Interesting signs. Trails are always "At Your Own Risk".
By us you see the sign " Not sprinkled by frost " meaning no salt to remove the glazed frost. Perhaps also better for the environment.
ReplyDeleteWow snow, amazing in winter! :)
ReplyDeleteI thought you might have quite a different picture today!
ReplyDeleteYour update made me chuckle. Just when you talk about no snow...it snows!
ReplyDeleteBizarre winter indeed. We're expecting to be near 20C next week :-)
ReplyDeleteThe problem being that when you get light snowfalls over the winter, you can pay for it in spring and summer with lack of water.
ReplyDeletewinter maintenance=snow removal?

ReplyDeleteI'm tired from shoveling, Andy!
ReplyDeleteOkay. After your latest snow be sure to read the sign. The risk is all yours again.

ReplyDeleteLooks pretty good even in winter.
ReplyDeleteMy SIGNS, SIGNS
Great shot.
ReplyDeleteWell because of your update I'd say the sign is very timely!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had much snow this year and I sort of miss it!
