Mobile Boat Hoist uses straps that go under a vessels hull. Using these straps as a sling, the entire weight of the vessel is supported easily. Hydraulic hoists can raise and lower the vessel. The Mobile Boat Hoist is supported by four wheels that allow the lift to move and steer under it's own power. This allows the Travel Lift to pick up vessels and move them from one place to another. It has been dormant all winter but with spring weather arriving it will soon be returning boats from winter storage back into the water.

ReplyDeleteNice one Andy. Good perspective through that boat lift with a wide-angle I presume. Also those rusty rails against the blues and grey are very impressive.
ReplyDeleteIt will be time soon to get the boats into the water indeed. A clever help this riding lift.
ReplyDeletewe see so many of these here at the jersey shore.....and the boats have already started their journey into the water. we have one marina we visit to see the sunset, they have 2 of these, perhaps one is broken, i can't imagine you would need 2!!!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a mobile lift before. When I was in Oregon, I saw a stationary one at work.
ReplyDeleteSo that's how they get them back in the water.
ReplyDeleteI like the perspective of your photo, and the bright blue color of the lift makes it stand out!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen anything like that, Andy!
ReplyDeletea very ingenious solution to the problem. I wonder what a 'lift' costs?
ReplyDeleteLovely photo. I do declare we would have one similar here at the Yacht club.
ReplyDeleteAnd do they have no crossbar at one end so they can pick up sailboats with the mast still in place?
ReplyDeleteI've seen one of these slowly working. It's very interesting and an efficient way to move big boats around.
ReplyDeleteThat is heavy duty!
