It all started in 1895 when founder Cassel Goorin hit the streets of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a horse-drawn cart full of hats and a passion for the craft of making them. Today, Goorin Bros. has over 30 shops across the United States and Canada.

  3. A wonderful display in the midst of the reflection. And nice to know Mr. Goorin was a 'yinzer'. (a native or inhabitant of the US city of Pittsburgh in western Pennsylvania)

  4. I can't imagine selling hats from a horse-drawn cart but, obviously it was done. I do have memories of my mother buying eggs from a farmer who came to town with a horse-drawn cart. We little kids always found that to be very amusing.

  6. A wonderful reflective photo that is lot's of fun to look at. Not many women or men wear hats these days, which is rather sad, I think. I wear a golf cap often but that's about it. I also like berets...they look cool.

  10. I love old hats and the way they look. My dad use to wear one almost everyday, they were part of his dressing up. I grew up with baseball caps and still wear one occasionally when I go out walking. Since it is very windy here, I have a collection of nice wool hats that my wife makes.
