She originally was asking to me to make a donation to a worldwide program to feed the children. I already have charities that I donate to... so that was end of that. She seemed like a very nice person... so I asked her to make up her own pose so I could photograph her. She agreed and this is what I got.

Those who live with chronic poverty often struggle to overcome multiple disadvantages. These include:
Housing situations that range from acceptable subsidized housing.
Low education levels.
Difficulty in finding or keeping employment.
Addictions or varying degrees of mental or physical health issues.
Poor social or support networks.

Did you notice the woman with her legs crossed? I have also seen men doing it but the gals do it more often. I don't understand how they keep their balance. Then again like most men I don't understand women.

Saltire

Held on January 28, 2018 this was the first year that Sir John A’s Great Canadian Kilt Skate was held in Toronto. The Toronto Scots joined with five other cities across Canada that have been hosting kilt skates since 2015. The first ones were organized by the Scottish Society of Ottawa to honour the 200th birthday of Canada’s first Prime Minister Sir John A. Macdonald.

Sunlight Glare

Believe it or not, this is not a B&W photo. It was a bright sunny day and the sunlight was causing a brilliant light reflection off the water. That in turn bleached any colours from the scene. The two on the breakwall were doing the same thing as me... taking pictures.
