Held on January 28, 2018 this was the first year that Sir John A’s Great Canadian Kilt Skate was held in Toronto. The Toronto Scots joined with five other cities across Canada that have been hosting kilt skates since 2015. The first ones were organized by the Scottish Society of Ottawa to honour the 200th birthday of Canada’s first Prime Minister Sir John A. Macdonald.

  5. Okay. There's an explanation for everything I guess. Not sure it makes much sense. I wouldn't be seen in a kilt if it kilt me!

  6. What a wonderful photo! However, all I can think of is falling on the ice (which I would surely do) and landing with bare skin on the ice. Ouch!

  11. I have worn kilts to parties, but I am not sure they mix well with ice skates. Great shot. Is he wearing his long underwear?
