| The trappings of technology... do we need to shut it off? 1500 Canadians participated in a survey, which revealed that 17 per cent would rather give up their pets, while 40 per cent would rather give up video games, 28 per cent would rather quit drinking, and 23 per cent would rather give up coffee. The response to pets was the most surprising. |

But you can't give up eating.
ReplyDeleteIt's a difficult time right now for many countries around the world and the confinement is very hard to live through... this young woman at least had the chance to get out
ReplyDeleteMaybe those people who would give up their pets should not have pets. I can't imagine a person really doing that but who knows.

Very surprising statistics. The one about pets makes me kind of sad.
ReplyDeleteI really need my phone when I am out and about for directions or texting in meetups...but I never or rarely use it at home. So if I could just have it on trips out, I would be happy.
ReplyDeleteIt would be hard to give up my phone. We have dedicated no phone time here at my house which I think is as good as it will ever get. lol

ReplyDeleteWith schools out I would estimate that my principal texts me (and rest of the staff) at least 15 times per day. Sometimes more. It's both a pain and a quick way to stay in touch. I would never give up my pets.

ReplyDeleteOur City and County have closed all restaurants and bars to in stores customers. They can still deliver food or serve take-out food.
