Female Cardinal

Females are shades of light brown, with reddish highlights and dark coloration around their eyes and beak.
Males are a brilliant red color except for a black mask on their face.

    Hope she and her mate produce offspring when warm weather arrives. BTW, hundreds of thousands of SD beehives are transported to California, Oregon, Washington and Texas to pollinate fruit and nut crops. We might not have these crops without these hard working bees. Honey production is their side job.
