Everyone should be able to recognize the two on the left. The one on the right is former Prime Minister of Canada, John Turner. Located on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, Joe had a whole field of scarecrows in Halloween masks, arranged in lines and circles. Unfortunately the attraction has have been disassembled after the passing of Joe in 2011.

...it's too bad that someone hasn't carried on for Joe!
ReplyDeleteHow funny! I bet they served their purpose well!
ReplyDeleteJoe had a sense of humour!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh, Andy. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to find these. I must admit I did not recognize Prime Minister John Turner, so thank you for pointing him out. Just finished reading Jimmy Carter's biography, "His Very Best". What a great story of a president disliked in his day, but so much we are thankful for now. He was the first president to try to do something about climate crisis, and it is too bad his initiative was dropped.
ReplyDeleteQuite a mix!
ReplyDeleteThey look good and must have taken some doing at the time.
ReplyDeleteAnd did they work?
ReplyDeleteIt looks funny to see them dressed up, almost real!
