..a progressive move!
ReplyDeleteOne lady is having a very bad day and the other lady knows something funny. You caught them going about their day.
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing these cars when I visited Toronto back in the 90's.
ReplyDeleteAdjusting their buses to the modern era. A nice slice of life image!
ReplyDeleteAn oldie, Andy!
ReplyDeleteGreat street shot. I have always loved streetcars since I was little when one ran past my Grandmother's place in Chicago. That streetcar line disappeared in the 1940s and 50s along with streetcars all across the country.
ReplyDeleteI love all transit and appreciate these older rolling stock. South of the border, we had a presidential commission that set the style for our ionic street cars for decades. PCC Cars they are called. Nice shot
ReplyDeleteI've never been on one of those.
ReplyDeleteHow interesting - nice capture but that poor old bus.
ReplyDeleteIt seems modern to me--- but 1990 can't possibly be 30 years ago! San Francisco kept its streetcars and busses running on electricity from overhead wires (trackless trollies) working for years with no significant change. And then there are the cable cars. There would be an uprising if they ever changed those.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it saw a lot of work in its days.
