Nice catch.
ReplyDeletePity it was a lens and not bread. Always on the look out for something to eat. I like also the blue in the picture. Gives it an overall nice tone.
ReplyDeleteIt is a very alert gull and looks like it wants to make friends, patiently waiting to see if some food will appear.
ReplyDeleteWho's watching who? Or whom? Super shot! Great colors. And all I can say is you have a lot of gull! :-)
ReplyDeleteI can't help but wonder what they think when they see us capturing them with these odd looking boxes.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was mooching! :D
ReplyDeleteAt first glance at the pic in my sidebar I thought those paving stones were snow, and went "oh no, not already" - hopefully you're free of the white stuff for a while yet.
I'm glad I caught your attention.
DeleteLove the colors and lines here, and, of course, the star is accommodating with a nice pose.
ReplyDeleteThose guys love french fries. If you had been sitting eating french fries. You would
ReplyDeleteof had a dozen of them.
Nice shot but will be honest not my best of bird. They are a pain in the you know
what.
Because the eat all scraps of food left on the streets, seagulls, are a protected species in Ontario, Canada.
DeleteS.C. is probably correct. That gull was hoping you would leave a sandwich or something else good to ear. It sure has you in it's sights. Good photo.
ReplyDeletein the thumbnail, I thought there was snow.... thank goodness that was not the case!
ReplyDeleteCool shot, Andy! I like all the blue.
ReplyDeleteA great shot.. wonderful lines, colours and subject. I'm glad he waiting until you were ready to snap the shot.
ReplyDeleteHe's definitely got his eye on you. Nice!
ReplyDeleteLove it! A great unplanned capture!
ReplyDeleteHe looks as still as a statue!
ReplyDeleteNice shot Andy!
I'm guessing he was hoping for a hand out. :)
Love those blues and that bird was just begging to be photographed! Perfect moment.
ReplyDeleteA really curious bird!
ReplyDeleteHe even posed for you! Love it... Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #55!
ReplyDeleteHa, looking for a handout no doubt! Nice blues and shadows in the photo.
ReplyDeleteGreat composition to this! I like the colors and the whole look of this.
