Boxing Day - December 26

Andy | Wednesday, December 26, 2012 | Best Blogger Tips

Many people in Canada have the day off work and many of them visit stores that start their annual Boxing week sales. Shoppers like theses ones start lining up outside stores early in the morning for door crashing sales. This photo was taken at 5:30 A.M. and store is schedule to open at 6 A.M. Canadians have a reputation of being polite. Because of that you will not see any mob mentality shopping here. It's cold out and I only went out to take some photos. I did all of my
Boxing Day shopping online on Christmas Day.

  1. I'm with you, I much prefer shopping sales online - but this crowd looks pretty tame - it's nice you don't have to deal with the mob mentality!

  2. Now that is dedication to your art...getting up at 5:30..braving the cold temps...for a great shot! This is kinda like our 'Black Fridays' I am guessing. I am getting to be more of an online shopper myself...better deals/more selection...since I live in the country.

  3. Ho ho ho, Andy, my husband was up early with the dog, but didn't go to Future Shop until a tiny bit later. He got the things we wanted at excellent Boxing Day prices, and I slept in. Perfect division of labor. He loves the Boxing Day sales and they terrify me, even though we're a polite people in Canada.
Thanks for the photo. Hope you're having a nap this afternoon.

  9. Lines of people? Cold? Dark? Early morning? The internet looks better all the time.

  10. Egads, Andy... 5:30 am? Even with my jet lag, 7 am is best I can muster... just in time to capture that one amazing sunrise - I really don't see those often! LOL!
