I love the new 'buy local" mentality of many people. Produce farmers here are having a hard time, tho, because of the wet spring. According to the local newspapers, some planting will never be done, 10% of the corn crop has not and will not be planted...tough time for some farmers.
Always better to buy local food indeed to support the locals.
ReplyDeleteYeah it is one of the better ideas at the moment to stimulate the economy in your neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteNeat photo - and I love farmers markets!

ReplyDeleteSomething I definitely want to support!
ReplyDeleteMe encantan los mercados...un abarzo desde Murcia..
ReplyDeleteI agree. But we have so few of these in the area. Darn!
ReplyDeleteThis brings back fond memories of shopping at Esposito's in the Philly Italian Market. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteLove it, buying local is not too hard here because we (luckily) have quite a lot of working farms. The local movement is spreading, happily!
