I was trying to explain my fascination with the different styles of these towers to a friend of mine as we drove along the highway yesterday. At first she thought I was just strange, but on the return drive home she began noticing them, too. I see them as sculptural necessities.
ReplyDeleteMuch better than wind farms.
DeleteWe recently were out of electricity because of a nasty storm, only 24 hours but realized quickly how dependent we are on it.
ReplyDeleteWhat an attractive scene!
ReplyDeleteAndy, you have an electrifying photo with a dramatic sky.
ReplyDeleteI know these are necessary but you wouldn't want to live underneath one.
ReplyDeleteNice one, Andy!
ReplyDeleteVery dramatic contrast here! Those clouds against golden fields, imposing man-made towers against nature. It's a little like a painting.
ReplyDeleteCool! Nice cloud formations too.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so familiar! :)
ReplyDeleteWe refer to them a 'Electric Men'. They built new transmission lines near my home when I was a child and we used to climb and play on these. One time. I climbed near the top, it was pretty scary, but it was a great view.
