I like the "old-fashioned" way too.
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn't for the yellow lights it could be China.
ReplyDeleteToronto's Chinatown is the closest thing that Canada has to China.
Deletewell, you don't see that much anymore!
ReplyDeletea very good point you make - & so true!
ReplyDeleteHe really is engrossed in that newspaper.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those shots where you have a terrific amount of interesting background. The depth of field shows all the detail.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, yes, you don't see that sort of distracted walking very much these days.
ReplyDeleteAnd reading paper newspapers (which I still prefer) is quickly becoming passé as well.
ReplyDeleteYour Chinatown is very different from the one I knew in San Francisco, which is old and has very close, narrow and congested streets (and, at one time, high rates of tuberculosis).
I like the connection you drew between this photo and the modern issue of texting. I will confess that occasionally I get distracted in both old and new ways. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby has the paper delivered. Plus the news on the telly.
ReplyDeleteIf you live in the city most older people like us. hmmmmmm pick paper up at the paper box.
Great view!
Spadina and Dundas?
ReplyDeleteTerrific shot, Andy!
