no, but I have had to remove them from my hair. very difficult it was, too!
ReplyDeleteThe burrs actually looks so beautiful rather than the nuisance that they are. Great title!
ReplyDeleteHahaha - Velcro... I can only imagine what it's like pulling them out of dog fur. I'm looking forward to finding out what a burry good weekend is.
ReplyDeleteOuch ;-)
ReplyDeletevelcro? haha...well, you do have a point. And look how lovely and innocent it looks in your picture!
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you!
Nice macro Andy. I like it.
ReplyDeleteOh yes many a days with my dog way back. Now it is me when I go scouting into the fields to take pictures. Then I forget about them there and I am covered and also feel the pricklys very quick as a reminder. Oh no. Silly me. Why did I not see where they were.
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty the flower of them. Nice Andy. Happy Burry Weekend Andy. You and yours.
Enjoy. Love the caption! Yes, I've pulled out stuff like that from the fur of many animals.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I have. I remember a camping trip when I pulled into a park to stay for the night, opened the camper door and my dog jumped out and immediately went down on the ground and wouldn't move. I picked her up and her paws and underside were covered with burrs. We spent the rest of the evening trying to get them all off of her. Poor little girl. She was a bit nervous about exiting the camper for the rest of the trip.
ReplyDeleteI have resorted to scissors to deal with these guys in dog fur. Not a fun thing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on the bell boxes!
Great title. Did I read somewhere that the inventor of Velcro got the idea from nature????
ReplyDeleteYes Karen... Georges de Mestral, a Swiss engineer invented velcro. After wondered if the burrs that clung to his trousers could be turned into something useful.

Burry funny!
ReplyDeleteBurry good pun too! You make these burrs look attractive, not at all burr-ish.
ReplyDeleteThey don't look familiar in this view. I'd bet if I'd seen these I wouldn't forget them. Do stick to your plan and have a burry good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI used to encounter burrs like this, but not in a long time. I wonder why not.
