Burrs - The Original Velcro.

Did you every have to remove these guys from your dog's fur?
PS: Starting today, this blog is going to have a burry good weekend.

  6. Oh yes many a days with my dog way back. Now it is me when I go scouting into the fields to take pictures. Then I forget about them there and I am covered and also feel the pricklys very quick as a reminder. Oh no. Silly me. Why did I not see where they were.

    They are pretty the flower of them. Nice Andy. Happy Burry Weekend Andy. You and yours.

  8. Oh yes, I have. I remember a camping trip when I pulled into a park to stay for the night, opened the camper door and my dog jumped out and immediately went down on the ground and wouldn't move. I picked her up and her paws and underside were covered with burrs. We spent the rest of the evening trying to get them all off of her. Poor little girl. She was a bit nervous about exiting the camper for the rest of the trip.

    1. Yes Karen... Georges de Mestral, a Swiss engineer invented velcro. After wondered if the burrs that clung to his trousers could be turned into something useful.
