  1. It captures the eye Andy. I like the composition. Are that not the butterflies coming from Mexico to travel a lot of miles?

  3. I just went to see the Monarch Butterflies at the Desert Botanical Garden again earlier this week. That whole migration cycle is still a mystery to scientists.

  4. In the fall we have often seen huge flights of Monarchs heading south. There have been many fewer the last couple years, and I worry about their small winter habitat in Mexico which has been under development pressure. If that habitat disappears so will the Monarch.

  6. That strikes me as a lonely scene, Andy!
I love that you went to Tip Top to get your uniforms. Wouldn't it be fun to go for a tour inside now?

  7. I went to a butterfly place in Naples last year and learned that the monarch butterfly eats only one kind of plant. It is remarkable that they survive with such a limited food supply.
