Ha a snippet of daily life around the harbor in halifax. Nice to see back in about a few years.
ReplyDeleteI suppose you are right...
ReplyDeleteGood to see someone is picking up after some messy people. :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Juncos ARE a kind of sparrow so you were right about that!
Looks like they have a pretty good start! That one has elf sneakers on! ha.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect title for this post!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they are wondering why you are taking their picture. We have a Murphy"s restaurant here.
ReplyDeleteThe title certainly fits these two.
ReplyDeleteI find this such an emotional photo and perhaps read too much sadness into it. I hate a wasted life. I keep thinking that these folks are good souls forced down the wrong path.
ReplyDeleteThe one fellow doesn't look too happy!
ReplyDeleteA reminder that there's value in much of the stuff we throw away.
ReplyDeleteWe have lots of that here, too. A few resort to theft to make a buck.
ReplyDeleteYou do what you have to do to get by I guess.
ReplyDeletePeople who have to live this way need to work very hard to find enough returnable cans and other scrap to finance their needs. In West Hartford, an army of people go through trash cans the night before trash pickup, hoping to find an overlooked can or bottle.
