Continuing from yesterday's posting this is what I found when I returned the next day.

Apparently it was the original farmhouse in the area. The supervisor told me that the front of the new house would have a replica of the old building's frontage. I'll be keeping track and post updates.

  1. Its much cheaper to demolish something old and build new then to renovate. But the decision is the hard part here.

  3. It will be interesting to see what the new house looks like. It sure doesn't take long to demolish a building, does it?

  4. There is a small home of historical value here that was damaged by the recent earthquake and deemed unsafe for habitation. Like in your instance, a new one will be built to look much like the old in some respects.

  5. I saw a house here torn down very quickly. They're now building something new, pretty much the same size as what was there.
