Apple Tree

Andy | Saturday, March 03, 2018 | | Best Blogger Tips
At onetime this lot was a thriving apple orchard. That ceased a few years back. I think the reason for that is urban sprawl is gradually moving closer. PS: This is the last photo I will be posting with snow from the winter of 2017 - 2018.

  1. Perhaps some apples for the grab now.

  2. A lonely survivor. I don't mind your snow photos, we are plunged in winter suddenly again, but now snow, only ice and cold.

  3. As here, this apple tree waits that the spring comes to find its sheets but he is beautiful so quite stripped

  6. This reminds me of so many of our orange orchards. Urban sprawl crawls out and destroys the orchards and sometimes they will look like this for years before anything is built on the land. This is another super photograph!

  12. We both showed apple orchards today. Think your photo is a sad one with the gnarly apple tree in snow. Winter gets old this time of year, so I know just what you mean, but I am not giving up on snow just yet as we have another month of the stuff.

I just bought some apples this afternoon for my morning porridge.

  14. I'm guessing an older variety by the size and lack of extreme pruning. Check on it when it blooms and let us know.
