There used to be a barn located directly in front of the silo. Look carefully and you can see the pieces of the barn on the ground. |

And so will everything end. Nice composition Andy.
ReplyDelete...a common sight in these parts!
ReplyDeleteI suppose there will not be a new farm in the future...
ReplyDeleteHe is note young but I like your beautiful composition.
ReplyDeleteLots of that going around here too. A fortune in barn stone from the foundation. The next generation will be snapping those huge metal ones which will probably be rusty by then and will be called character.
ReplyDeleteHow long before the silo joins it
ReplyDeleteKilroy was here...had no thoughts :]
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same as Bill. I wonder how long the silo will last. A very nice rural scene.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me feel lonely and longing for company. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the silo will stay there or will it be taken down.
ReplyDeleteWith the well groomed grass in the foreground, the future does not look bright for the silos.
ReplyDeleteI see the pieces. Boy, would this make a great place for a suspense/mystery/horror movie. Why don't you send the pic to Netflix along with a suggestion they use it in a movie?
ReplyDeleteYes, I can see some of the remains.
ReplyDeleteAll things must pass.
ReplyDeleteWith the surroundings, it is hard to see the remains of the barn. A neat photo, definitely something that would catch my eye on the backroads.
ReplyDeleteTraces of a past when construction was needed. We are now witnessing our own change, abandoning the inherited goods of the past.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that every farm I see these days is in decay. I guess it gets down to the decline of the family farm as a model...Great picture, though.
ReplyDeleteNicely seen. It does make one wonder why this was abandoned in the first place.
ReplyDeleteAlways a sad sight, Andy!
ReplyDeleteThe nature of farming has changed. Barns are no longer needed. Fine shot of the remains from another era.
ReplyDeleteA piece of history?
ReplyDeleteYou can Finnish, if you put one "i" in middle of silo. It's "siilo" in Finnish.. :)
