I've seen a few of theses tree shoes in my travels. There's various reasons why they get started. It could start from one person tossing his or her footwear high into the sky, to catch on an out of reach branch. That first pair of shoes triggers a shoe cascade until you get a roadside attraction like this one.

We humans engage in some pretty bizarre practices at time.
ReplyDeleteDid you leave a pair behind?
ReplyDeleteI feel certain that I have never seen a tree quite like this adorned with shoes! Charming, and I also wondered if you left a single shoe or a pair behind...

Never saw this before! Kind of like the locks one leaves on bridges...?
ReplyDeleteQuite strange - I've never seen such a thing!
