Nice find Andy.
ReplyDeleteRusty image.
ReplyDelete...well you enjoy rust!
ReplyDeleteHmm not a lot of good any more then
ReplyDeleteThis one has not been used for a looooong time!
ReplyDeletei always photograph the obvious, i like that you often photograph objects that i walk past. i often say to myself, i want to be more "out-of-the-box", but i kinda' stay in that cookie cutter mold!!! it's a cool image!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou see that this old car jack can still give you a lift. Lovely texture.
ReplyDeleteLong forgotten is right. It looks like it's been there for quite some time.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to see what years of exposure do to an object like this.
ReplyDeleteAs a photographer you see the idea of a once useful device, and the ravages time and neglect can render to such a device. One photograph - two results, hard to do that using words alone. Ironic!
ReplyDeleteI think it's safe to say that hasn't been inside a vehicle for quite some time!
ReplyDeleteCuz it's interesting!
ReplyDeleteI understand that sentiment completely. We probably are more interested in what appeals to ourselves than worrying excessively about what might appeal to our viewers. The blogs are for us more than for the outside world.
ReplyDelete...because there is an appealing contrast between the gray earth tone and the brown earth tone. And the different textures and shapes are nice, too.
ReplyDeleteI think it's another example of "things a photographer finds curious or interesting."
ReplyDeleteMy latest car doesn't have one, they are 'optional' these days. I'm glad you posted it, I think it's cool.
ReplyDeleteThere's a story in that old Jack. I like anyhing eroded or rusting - I would have taken the shot, too. You owe me, Andy, for stopping the snow before it gets to you.
