She was keeping a close eye on me. Perhaps it was because she was feeding her calf. |

Cows are always curious but also a bit shy. A nice one here.
ReplyDeleteDo not disturb, she might be thinking. Cute cow.
ReplyDeleteeye to eye
ReplyDeleteA very protective mother.
ReplyDeleteThey do seem curious when people pass by.
ReplyDeleteLike s.c said, cows are known to be curious.
ReplyDeleteAndy, you are obviously a suspicious looking character. No wonder she is keeping an eye on you, I'll bet you eat beef!
ReplyDeleteShe is stomping around in the snow today, Andy! Can you believe it?
ReplyDeleteCurious? Maybe. I suspect they've learned to sleep with their eyes open-- a skill I learned in school.
ReplyDeleteNever come between a mom and her baby! She's a pretty cow!
ReplyDeleteShe was being very protective... as all good mums should be.
ReplyDeletewhat a good mama!
ReplyDeleteNice composition!
ReplyDeleteCows have beautiful eyes (in my humble opinion). They're sweet critters to go eye-to-eye with.
ReplyDelete(In response to your comment today about eagles: Our government protections have no doubt helped them rebound. But another very big factor is that in our region they have good habitat. We have many rivers with salmon fisheries and forested areas that support them. I virtually never saw them in the urbanized areas in California where I lived. There weren't places for them to thrive.)
haha! That's awesome!
