ReplyDeleteThese are transmission lines, not distribution lines. Transmission lines carry the power long distances from the place where the power was generated to the places where the power will be used. Distribution lines are the simpler and lower lines that take the power down streets to the homes and business customers who use it. Transmission lines are very rarely buried; distribution lines are sometimes buried, especially in new developments where the builder pays for it as part of the overall cost of the development.
