Diftwood

Anything that floats gets washed up along the shoreline.

A lack of bark demonstrates it has been in the water for considerable time.

Size does not matter. The lake can handle big or small.

  1. Looks a rather big lake, and old trunks and limbs are bound to be washed to shore eventually, expect for those buried on the lakes bed. Nice captures.

  2. the waters always "spit up" anything they don't want or need, that's how i get my sea glass. this is a pretty piece of wood, i may have tried to drag it home.

pretty images, color but almost black and white!!!

  3. It is, after all, a very big lake, so whole trees are not an issue. One wonders where the wood started its journey in the waters from.

  8. Big stuff! Most of the driftwood that washes up from the ocean seems to be more broken up.
