Yes who would have thought that..
ReplyDelete...last Saturday was 'record store day' here!
ReplyDeleteRecord stores are almost all vanished here too. It is something of (our) the past...
ReplyDeleteto and fro, to and fro. Glad to see one person going in.
ReplyDeleteI've heard about vinyl coming back. Darn! Interesting store. I could have used them a few years ago when I wrote a record review column for a small town newspaper in Texas. I got "demo" records from the record companies and before long I had no place to store them. Must have been a couple thousand. Gave most of them away. I had not heard of Kops! Darn!
ReplyDeleterecord stores here are like "blockbuster video stores" gone with the wind. but these old ones are great, this one has a cool vibe!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty amazing that this store survived during that before vinyl made a comeback.
ReplyDeleteI've walked by this one on occasion. There are some indie stores here that have been stocking up a good deal of vinyl in recent years.
ReplyDeleteColourful storefront! The care and storage of vinyl seems like a lot of trouble for the tiny bit of extra quality, much less that it's limited to stereo.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Glad to see they are still there.
ReplyDeleteListening to vimyl (Ravel) even as I write this! I like this one !!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I'd want to walk under that air handler over the door. It's shelf doesn't look all that secure.
ReplyDeleteNice to see vinyl is still around.
ReplyDeleteI have a few old vinyls still that I have no intention of getting rid of. Love the sound that comes from them.
ReplyDeleteSuper-cool that this record store has been around since '67!! Great photo, and I would live to go in and browse. The plastic milk cartons bring back memories... they serve as excellent album holders!
ReplyDeleteI've a lot vinyl records, and I don't know what to do with them. I've sold some, but I'm lazy to sell them all. What a big problem... hi.
ReplyDeleteLove this happy yellow wall.
nice photo!! i love going into places like that :))
